A matter of scale?
Zowie!
I just returned from a showing of JP-III and my hat, as always, is off to
all the wonderfully dedicated and creative scientists and artists who
continue to breathe life into these long-gone creatures. I had the
unanticipated pleasure of seeing the movie along with 100 or so 8-10 year
old kids bused in from a local day-camp. It was a great couple of hours!
I left the movie, however, thinking that a bipedal dinosaur simply
>couldn't< have been as huge as the Spinosaur appeared to be in JP-III! It
looked much larger than even the possible 60 or so feet mentioned in earlier
posts. If anyone has access to stills from the movie that could be used to
measure how large this creature is depicted to be in the film, I'd be
curious to know the results. If its apparent size in the film turns out to
actually be within the range of scientific possibility....well, it boggles
the mind!
