Hello all,
I just wanted to voice to anyone on the list that
was involved in Discovery's, When Dinosaurs Roamed America, a very good job and
a pat on the back. I've been reading a lot of, shall we say, not-so
positive criticism about certain parts of the show. Being an artist, I also have
quite a few nit-pickings which have already been covered on this list, but
all in all I think it was a real nice effort and project. Myself being in the
entertainment industry for many years now, know how hard it is to get these kind
of projects off the ground. Lot's of producers, directors, scientists, artist,
modelers, animators and on and on! It's a wonder it all gets done! Lot's of
hard work with crazy production schedules and most likely not a lot of time and
money involved. A lot of people out there don't realize what it takes to get
these things off the ground. I personally am glad to see shows like this being
done. I think it is wonderful! I feel these shows (like WWD and WDRA) really
help keep the general public informed, interested and educated in paleontology
and it's importance. Heck, it really helps keep us in the business! I sure would
have loved to had shows on television like this when I was a kid growing up. I
hope that this only fuels more interest and more shows to be done like this in
the near future. More please!!
So nice job to all of you!
Thanks for letting me air my two
cents!
Cheers,
Todd Marshall
