Dinosaur locomotion, a la WDRA

Watching "When Dinosaurs Roamed America", I noticed that all of the quadrapeds
seemed to step with front and back legs on the same side at almost the same
time, as opposed to a "left front, right rear, right front, left rear"
alternating pattern...I was under the impression that they would not have had
both legs on one side off the ground at once...any thoughts on this?
