The same as Allosaurus to ceratosaurs.  Monolophosaurus has been placed in
the Carnosauria by all phylogenetic analyses so far (Holtz 1996, 2000;
Sereno 1994, 1996, 1999; Rauhut 2000).

The abstract for my 1995 SVP talk had Mono. come out as a basal tetanurine, but by the time of the meeting (and in subsequent analyses) additional data place it as a basal carnosaur.
