I may have said this before at one point, but offhand, I'd say it looks
more like _Monolophosaurus_ than _Dilophosaurus_. Just look at the form of
the crests:<
Indeed the lateral morphology of the crests is similar, but as the name
implies, one is a solid ridge, whereas the other is two ridges. However, in
"D." _sinensis_, the crests do appear to be thicker than in _D. wetherilli_.
Perhaps there was a trend towards the merging of the crests, but I don't
think this could be substantiated. Like I stated before, I think the crests
in these two animal are convergent, not do to generic relationship.
What is the relationship of _Monolophosaurus_ to ceratosaurs anyways?
