To clear up any confusion, antirrhopus comes from Greek
antirrhopos, meaning "counterbalancing," and refers to the
stiffened tail, use for balance.  All the vowels are short
and according to Latin pronunciation rules applied to
Greek (and, in this case, in Greek itself), the main
accent goes on the "i" (an-TIR-o-pus), the antepenultimate
syllable.
