Computers and the ceratopian forelimb stance
Hiya,
I picked up an issue of US News & World Report because of a short article
on dinosaur mechanics and computer programs. The two-page article
mentioned the allosaur bite-force study, the sauropod neck mechanic study,
and a new (to me, anyway) study using the Smithsonian Triceratops computer
data, that decided that the forelimb stance has to be somewhat sprawled.
What has happened with this data? Is it (relatively) conclusive? How do
proponents of the straight-legged ceratopian idea counter this, and what is
their data?
Thanks,
Demetrios
