Article on study of Allosaur bite
ALLOSAURUS, A COUSIN of the mighty
Tyrannosaurus rex, was a Jurassic dinosaur with
80 or more
saberlike teeth, but scientists at the
University of Cambridge
say that despite its ferocity it did not have a
very strong bite.
They used fossils from an Allosaurus and
a technique
called finite element analysis to re-create a
model of the
creature?s skull to see how it killed its prey.
