Re: mass extinctions and DDT

Well, I would personally like to be learning from something that isn't
stating something as fact that has been demonstrated to be false. I
understand that not everything can be acurate and up to date and correct,
but I think an effort should be made to ensure that all information is as
acurate as possible (in the scale of generality that is being used). A
geology 101 text probably doesn't need to include the latest info on mantle
composition, if iron went up 2%. But if glass does not actually flow
(something that appears to be taught widely), then it simply shouldn't be in
the textbook.
