visualizing cladograms



I definitely don't want to go back to that 1.2.2.2.1 stuff. I think it was Hennig who tried doing it that way and it's just too ponderous in large classifications (and advertizing unnamed clades in that fashion just tempts someone to name them). Been there, tried that.
I still don't think a simple alphanumeric code would be that hard to learn, but I guess we could optionally put abbreviated cladograms to the left (let's see how this might work, if the columns line up reasonably well):


Charophycea
+____1  Chlorokybales
\++__2  Klebsormidiales
  \__B  Conjugales
 \+__3  Coleochaetales
  \+_4  Charales
   \_5  {{Metaphyta}}

Anyway, this is even giving me a headache, so will not post on this thread further. Got some Christmas things that need attending to.......
