Extinct



Just a quick note to all those in Australia that the British series
"Extinct" starts tonight on the ABC at 8:00 PM. From what I've seen
there is some great CGI work here. All that fur and feathers makes the
"Walking With Dinosaurs" animals look like plucked chickens. The first
episode is about the Dodo, which many would argue was a theropod
dinosaur, hence the relevance of this post. :)

Other episodes include the Irish elk, sabre tooth "cats", and mammoths,
amongst others. I'm looking forward to the episode on the Great Auk.
Apparently the last one seen in the British Isles was killed by
villagers who thought it was a witch. Easy mistake to make...
