Re: Where to buy fossil skull replicas - Any suggestions?

If you're looking for dinosaur skull replicas or models, try:

Valley Anatomical Preparations, Mary Odano's outfit. Their web presence is
still in its infancy, but you can find out what they have (and contact
information) at <www.valleyanatomical.com>. They are happy to mail out
catalogs, but I don't think you have time for that. Highly reputable; I've
gotten several items from them. The sculpted works are top notch, even if they
aren't actual replicas. (Mary's firm worked on the _Giganotosaurus_ mount,
which required some skillful reconstruction). If you find something you like
somewhere else, you should see if VAP has it, and compare.

Skulls Unlimited. See <www.skullsunlimited.com>. Excellent web presence.

There are other dealers that sell what you want, but I am giving you only the
two above, because I don't want to direct people to those sites which also deal
in rare vertebrate fossils. You should make sure that you understand whether
what you are getting is an actual replica, a full scale sculpture, or a
miniature model. You should also take care that some items are slabs as
opposed to three dimensional pieces.

If you want only slab type (bas relief) fossil replicas, you can find a good
selection at :

Prehistoric Products. <www.finishingfirst.com/Dino/>.

Happy solstice!
