Seeing as how common Hadrosaurs and Ceratopsians were, I'm willing to bet
that was *T. Rex*s primary prey.<
I would agree with HP Irmis here. Not only for the reasons he cites, but
also just on ease of the prey. An unarmoured hadrosaur, slightly smaller
than you, or an armoured titanosaurid, much larger than you; which is easier
prey? In modern ecosystems, predators don't go after the most
dangerous/largest prey if they have a choice, and the same proably held true
in the late K of N. America.
