Re: Protoavis & Drepanosauridae (sensu Renesto, 1999)
the *Coelophysis* quarry at Ghost Ranch is an example where more than just
C was found in place, including elements of *Syntarsus,* I believe
*Rutiodon,* crocodiliforms, etc.<
Although the main bone layer preserves mainly articulated skeletons. Lets
not forget ?rauisuchians and ?lagosuchians in the mix as well. As for
_Syntarsus_...I remember reading this at some point, but everyone I've
talked to has either never heard of it, or disagrees with its placement at
Ghost Ranch (beyond the fact recent cladistic and morphological analysis of
these two taxa support Downs' {2000} and Paul's {1989} suggestions that _S.
rhodesiensis_ = _C. rhodesiensis_).
The Dockum, if I remember correctly, at the Post quarry (is *Protoavis*
found here?), is a series of scattered or layered mudstone and sandstone
fascies<
Yeah, I think so. Most stuff out of the Post Quarry is disarticulated.
Peace,
Rob
