It is absolutely amazing how all these animals came to be jumbled together in the same small concretion<
Hmm...while he says they come from both the Post and Kirkpatrick quarries (in the monograph), I see no mention of them being in a concretion. He states:
"Two _Protoavis_ skeletons were found jumbled together 1 m above the bone bed," in reference to the Post Quarry, and "Several isolated postcranial elements of _Protoavis_ have been collected from a small mound of 1 m^2". Does he mention the concretions in his 1991 publication?


and how none of these animals has yet been found anywhere else in the Dockum.<
Well, there is more than one from the Dockum, as evidenced above. And, as for other occurances, and the chimerical nature of the specimen...be patient. "Wait for the paper," in the immortal words of Tom Holtz.
