I would hae to agree with Gregary Paul in his interpretation (maybe not
specifically) of Amargasaurus, in that he thinks it's some sort protective
sheath core...looking like a porcupine's back. The large duo neural spines
were possibly housing something larger, maybe a sail. I'm currently working
on a interpretation for a frill reconstruction. Science hasn't yet
pinpointed if it's sex-specific, but I wouldn't doubt that either.
