Carnotaurus...a summary perhaps?
Well after all that, how are we to look at this big beautiful freak of nature?
Narrow lower jaw like Allosaurus for possibly digging into kills like vultures?
Blunt, powerful upper jaw like a bulldog for a nasty bite? Small but not
useless forearms?
Perhaps all of the above makes the right image. Chasing after its prey at full
speed, Big C latches on or knocks down the victim and fastens itself like a
pitbull and shakes flesh violently from the animal. Perhaps its forearms are
used to support it's head feeding on the dead. It seems like the horns may be
for display. Male to male, or female to female confrontations were not so much
ramming but shoving with the head at times...usually when predators of equal
killing potenial spar off, both parties set a sort of unsaid limit to how far
they will go. Occasionally moose and others will fight to the death, but only
in extremes.
Regardless, I'm sure we will know more soon. Perhaps Carnotaurus was a genetic
mistake by the aliens, who are all laughing at us now. Or maybe Big C is the
dinosaurian answer to halloween. Who knows.
