At an average velocity of 5 mph & 7 mph for fractions of a second, it don't make much difference.<
Hmm...speaking of mph, a few fellow list members and I have had a little problem with the V=.25g^.5*SL^1.67*H^-1.17 (speed formula).
With a height of 3.9624 meters, a stride length of 9.144, I get a speed of 12.59 m/s, which, if I do the the math right, comes out as 45.32mph.
However, other list members get much slower speeds (11.52 mph), using the same formula. I was wondering if anyone more familiar with calculating speed knows what we(most likely I) are/am doing wrong.
