Re: WWD Allosaurus

Well, I must say that comparatively speaking, they have done a markedly
better job with this one than they did with WWD which I hated. This of course
is not due to any fault of our venerable colleagues who were consulted on
that project either. In Big Al, I only caught one error (which escapes me
now). The best improvement over WWD was what I viewed as a more scientific
approach as to _WHY_ they are saying what they are saying WRT inferences
drawn about "Big Al's," here to fore known as BA by moi, birth, life and
death by drawing comparisons to extant relatives, comparative osteology, bone
histology and paleopathology as well. This does not mean that I necessarily
agreed with any or all of the narrators claims but the data were presented in
a more "scholarly" manner. Even the narration was much improved as was the
underlying 'story line' all of which were terrible in WWD.
This proves a more scientifically balanced and yet still interesting and
entertaining production can be done and does not have to be dumbed-down for
the masses!

My 2c....

Cheers,
Tom
