A short list of museums in the Midwest (from the Oceans of Kansas
Paleontology website, in no special order) with marine vertebrate specimens
from the Western Interior Sea would include:
The Sternberg Museum of Natural History, Fort Hays State University, Hays,
KS

The Museum of Natural History at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS

The Geology Museum at Emporia State University, Emporia, KS
(Also while in Kansas, check out the Fick Fossil and History Museum at
Oakley, KS - on I-70, has a small but outstanding collection, most collected
by the Sternbergs)
The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Denver, CO

The Museum of Geology at the South Dakota School of Mines, Rapid City, S.D.
