Re: more on Travel from Mexico City Airport

To all of you coming to Mexico City:
First of all...
WELCOME!!!
You'll find Mexico a huge and sometimes pretty crowded place, anyway, it's
at the same time a beautiful city full with history and tradition and a lot
of places to go (the food is magnificent and the night life great)
I personally don't live there (I live in Monterrey which is in the Mexican
northeast) but been at Mexico city a lot of times in my life and always
enjoy it.
some of you , I'm sure, have hear it's also a dangerous place, well, as it's
the case in most big cities in the world, there are places where you should
be really careful.
My recommendations are as follows:

try always to travel in groups
try not to "look" like tourists (don't worry, there are a lot of blond and
redhead Mexicans, we're a really mix-up bunch)
if you need to take a cab, use the ones at recommended by the place you're
at (example, in the airport, use the ones from there, same at the hotel or
if you're at a restaurant
change your money at exchange establishments (banks, at the airport)you'll
find a better deal there
try not to walk at nigh

In other ways, use your common sense and I'm sure You'll have a great time

BIENVENIDOS Y QUE SE DIVIERTAN

Max Salas
