I had always though (although I don't know wheather GSP states this theory in
Predatory Dinosaur per se), that the odd teeth of Ornitholestes were an
adaptation for a grappling, rather then slashing/bloodloss method of dispatching
with prey.  Unlike most predatory dinosaurs' teeth, the teeth of Ornitholestes
were unserrated, and so would grab rather then cut through flesh.  I hope I'm
not just repeating myth.
