They are indeed common on savannahs, even outside game reserves. However I
only counted eagles strictly speaking. There are also the following
medium/large raptors: Secretary Birds, about five species of Buteos,
Gymnogenes, two species of Chanting Goshawks, five Harriers and three
Kites. And that's without counting the smaller Falcons and Accipiters and
oddballs like Honey-Buzzard. African savannahs is a *very* raptor-rich
habitat.
