Every day with the Moveable Museum I visit
approximately 120 students (mostly 2nd & 4th graders)
With increasing regularity the following question
arises.
Did dinosaurs have
knees?
( When a 7 year old asks this you should add on
..... like mine. Which implies to me a kneecap/patella type knee
bone.)
The mounts at AMNH don't show patellas, but could
they? Do any sauropsids have a "knee" in this sense? or is it
strictly a synapsid feature?
please advise.
and thanks in advance.
