As you may have guessed from David's comment, the animal I'm referring to
was described by Makovicky (1997) as a coelurosaur more derived than
Coelurus.  It is based on two cervical vertebrae from Wyoming that were
originally referred to Coelurus.  Later,
Frankfurt and Chiappe (1999) found that these vertebrae share the presence
of peduncular foramina and a ventral sulcus flanked by ventrolaterally
directed ridges with segnosaurs and oviraptorosaurs and made it the sister
group to that taxon.  Segnosaurs and oviraptorosaurs are supposedly more
derived based on prezygopophyses separated by a U-shaped space.
