Are you sure this isn't a fish tooth? It certainly is not a croc tooth. It looks a lot like one of the rostral teeth of a swordfish that I have seen from the Miocene of the eastern US Coastal Plain.

The above URL has two pictures that I was told about and needs proper
identification. It was collected from the Cretaceous Thermopolis Shale near
Cody, Wyoming. I believe some plesiosaur bones have been found in this area.
Is it possibly a crocodile tooth?
