*Ricardoestesia* and Troodonts

Tracy Ford wrote, on *Byronosaurus*:

<Cool snout, with excellent bone preservation and an
interesting little pneumatic lacrimal horn.

Also, the jaw reminds me a bit of _Ricardoestesia_.

That's what I've been telling Noviceck and Norrell.
I asked them if they checked on it a few years ago
when they first showed the critter. Don't know if it
did any good. They probably ignored me.>

Much of *Ricardoestesia* is based on the teeth,
rather than the jaw, and these more closely resemble
dromaeosaurid or tyrannosaurid than troodontid teeth,
according to Currie, Rigby and Sloan (1990). I would
tend to agree with Currie, but the slenderness of the
jaw may indicate a similar cranial form, rather than
phylogeny. But, like I say in the other troodont post,
I'm no expert on troodonts or dinosaurs.
