Old Monographs/ New Papers
I was wondering if there was any way of getting monographs that are
currently out of print (short of standing behind a photocopier for a
month). In particular, I am looking for Madsen's Allosaurus, Britt's
Torvosaurus, and Ostrom's Deinonoychus papers/monographs. Don't get me
wrong, I have done my time at the photocopier, but that route is expensive
(10-15 cents a copy at the University of Toronto or the Royal Ontario
Museum) and I have occasionally missed pages because it is such a boring
process flipping the stupid book around. It is always nice to have the
original.
I am still patiently waiting for new papers/monographs to come out as well.
I am sure I have not missed them, but please let me know if I have. I
await new papers on Albertosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus ("Fran"),
Dapsletosaurus (both a redescription of D. torosus and the new species),
Tyrannosaurid phylogeny, new Marshosaurus and Stokesosaurus material.....
I know good science takes time, but I am going to start measuring some of
it in geological eras soon. ;-) I also realize that my areas of interest
do not necessarily match the priorities of journals or researchers, but all
of papers above have been at least rumored to be in the works for years
now. I know at least one is finished.
