Re: PALEONEWS:China to Build First Dinosaur Park in Yunnan
Okay, okay, uncle! This was the site I was at with Keith Rigby et al this
January. I didn't want to say much because I wasn't sure what info others
wanted to release on it.
Suffice it to say, there is no exaggeration with the criss-crossing sauropod
carcasses -- very nice, very much like Dinosaur National Monument, but in a
shaly-mudstone. There is a carnivorous dinosaur in the quarry, and yes it
is not 20 meters long, but it is probably Allosaurus sized.
To be safe, I will not say anymore until I get back to Keith et al. Plus,
finishing my dissertation now, so you know how that all goes.
Sorry to be so brief about such a cool location, just don't wanna step on
toes.
Adios for now,
Matt Bonnan
