RE: Geo dating question
I believe the man who first developed radioactive carbon dating was Willard
F. Libby (1908-1980). This was around 1946-47 while he was a professor at
the University of Chicago at the Institute for Nuclear Studies. He developed
the C14 dating method working with his students. He published the book
?Radiocarbon Dating? in 1952 and won the 1960 Nobel Prize in chemistry for
this development.

Subject: Geo dating question
Does any geologist or otherwise know whether or not the physicist Enrico
Fermi was involved in developing the science behind radioactive dating?
