These flying reptiles may have fed
and protected their young in the same way the seagulls
look after their chicks on cliff nests today
Actually, "seagulls" is a colloquialism that doesn't properly refer to any
gull species, and aside from the two kittiwakes gulls do not nest on
cliffs, but on open ground.
