If you have a subfamily Segnosaurinae within family Therizinosauridae, ICZN
rules specify that you must also have a separate subfamily Therizinosaurinae
to contain the genus Therizinosaurus if it is excluded from Segnosaurinae.
(If Therizinosaurus were included in Segnosaurinae, then Therizinosaurinae,
which has priority over Segnosaurinae, would becomes the name of the
subfamily.) Therizinosaurinae would exist even if Therizinosaurus were the
only genus in it.
