D'OH!!!!!!!!!
Sorry...
On an unrelated (sauropod phylogenetic) note: in the Wilson et al. report on
titanosaur tails in the latest JVP, the authors point out the problematic
distribution of biconvex distal caudals in sauropods. Diplodocoids have
them, _Cetiosauriscus_ has them, titanosaurs have them, _Camarasaurus_ does
NOT have them, and the tails of other neosauropods are not sufficiently well
known to say. These structures might thus be basal to Neosauropoda (and
reserved in _Camarasaurus_). If so, this would remove the main reason for
placing _Cetiosauriscus_ within Diplodocoidea. In fact, Wilson et al.
consider _Cetiosauriscus_ a basal neosauropod of uncertain relations, rather
than a diplodocoid.
Note that this report is a few pages before the comment and reply concerning
the work of Stephen M. Gatesy and Kevin M. Middleton. (Just wanted to spell
it correctly for a change...).
