nomen rejectum
A little while ago I saw a post to this list (can't seem to find it now)
with this term in it. I've never seen it before. Is it something like a
nomen oblitum? Are nomina oblita "forgotten names" (unused for a long
period of time while a junior synonym has been used, e.g. _Scrotum
humanum_) and nomina rejecta "rejected names" (explicitly rejected by the
ICZN, e.g. _Rioarribasaurus colberti_)? IOW, would the valid junior
synonym of a nomen oblitum be a nomen validum, and the valid junior
synonym of a nomen rejectum be a nomen conservandum? Or is the term "nomen
rejectum" used at all?
