    I think that it would be extremely likely that ceratopsians would
segregate themselves by age/sex/etc. and that in moments of stress the
larger ones would cluster around the smaller.  However, it is important
to note that the smallest adult Triceratops were much heavier than
tropical fish and wilderbeasts.  In a recent and wonderfully
enlightening conversation with  Stanley Friesen , we concluded that the
large herbivores of the "dinosaur Serengetii", although they probably
lived in herds, would have to be less closely-knit than the herds of
small animals becuase a large number of herbivorous dinosaurs in a small
area would damage the flora around them beyond repair.  African
elephents (which do herd and have a definate social structure) are very
damaging they are to their environment if the population is too
condensed, as we see in African wildlife preserves.
