I spent hours talking to the guys (specially Tim Haines) and also gave them
quite a few suggestions of colour patterns. I hope they used them. I think
I could see the 'okapi' pattern I suggested for Iguanodon... maybe I'm
wrong.
In any case and after having been a consultant for the new Dorling &
Kindersley Book of Dinosaurs (I'll have some information about this on my
webpage shortly) I think it's difficult to pin down all the details and
convince people of the new research... specially with all the contradictory
'authoritative material' that everyone can get from the popular press. Just
note that David Norman's reference encyclopedia is only 14 years old,
already very dated and still used as a kind of bible.
Difficult to be proving yourself all the time. I have noticed that I have
to work almost with my 'passport' between my teeth... and many times they
will STILL go for the outdated information.
