Boy, I'll say. Leave us not forget Mary Anning, whose fossil collections in
Great Britain helped to usher in paleontology (or palaeontology, as the
British still spell it) way back in the early 19th century. And even though
Mary Ann Mantell didn't actually find the first Iguanodon teeth, she was her
husband's field assistant for many years.
