This contains a minor misconception. Desert plants generally have a
*higher* water content per gram than non-desert plants. The *climate* may
be dry there, but the ways plants have of adapting to this stress often
involve water retention (the extreme case is seen in cacti, which can be
used as a source of drinking water in the deserts of the Americas).
