Not anymore! Most recent studies classify _Caudipteryx_ as a basal
oviraptorosaur (which branched off the bird lineage _before_
dromaeosaurs_) and _Protarchaeopteryx_ as something close to the ancestry
of both dromaeosaurs and birds.
