It may depend on what you mean by "big". Do you mean height, length,
weight, or a combination of all three. Tyrannosaurids tended to have
proportionately longer legs - just compare the legs of _Tyrannosaurus_ and
_Ornithomimus_ - so _Tyrannosaurus_ may been taller than _Giganotosaurus_.
_Giga_ came from megalosaur or allosaur stock, and it was a more robust,
sturdy, and heavy sort of theropod. Tyrannosaurs, for their size, were
fairly lightly built. _Giga_ would probably have been heavier than
_Tyrannosaurus_. Not sure which is longer - that would depend upon the
length of the tail more than anything else.
