Re: Raptors

The professionals can give you better information than me, but I'll
try my best to help because I'm hoping to study 'Raptors after college.
I'm no expert (yet) but there are a number of bones suspected to
be parts of 'Raptors. The only 3 I know of that have been studied
very much are probably the same ones you know Velociraptor, Deinonychus,
and
Utahraptor. I wish I knew what you were looking for so I could give a
better reply. From what I know the actual name for the 'Raptors is
Dromaeosaurs. Most of them were "small" compared to other popular
dinosaurs. The largest one is Utahraptor at 20' long. I've also read
that they are believed to be pack hunters. Last year there was some
real good controversy about their "killer" claws. you could probably
look back at the archives too see some of those postings, sorry I
can't remember the address for them right off. Hope this helps a
little.
