It might be because the dermal spines (and I would add armour too) are

it might be because he likes the sauropods like that... who cares? You are
very much free to choose and be as creative as viable possibilities may
allow you.
I for one am not sure about the massive neck musculature for hadrosaurs and
haven't included it in any of my recent restorations... but I might if I
get convinced.
