Re: Birds hunting cooperatively (was Killer whales and theropods)
A "classic" example of cooperative hunting in birds is that of Harris'
Hawks in the Sonoran Desert. They collaborate as pairs or even small
family groups to find, chase and tire out rabbits. What I'm not quite
sure about is whether or not they actually attack the prey
simultaneously; does anyone know about that?
