Mauricio Anton Book

Many members of this list are familiar with the superb artwork of
Mauricio Anton. His illustrations in _The Big Cats and their Fossil
Relatives_ have been justly acclaimed. National Geographic has featured
his work in both its magazine and website. Many of you are familiar with
his restoration of Pelecanimimus. His paintings have been one of the
most enjoyable surprises in a long time in this field. I have really
delighted in Anton's grasp of action in his animals and the beauty in
which he puts it down on paper and canvas.
Mauricio is now making available another book, _Memoria de la Tierra,
Vertebrados fosiles de la Peninsula Iberica_. It's about 160 pages,
beautifully printed, mostly in color. It is authored,in Spanish, by
Jordi Agusti. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the title
translates into _Animals of the Past, Fossil Vertebrates of the Iberian
Peninsula.
There are Mauricio's dinosaurs, cats, deer, wolves, and folk superbly
rendered and beautifully reproduced. Of particular interest to me were
the plates of Triassic marine reptiles.
