RTMP/Argentina Website Update
Thanks to Judy Horan (and Mickey, for cross-posting) for posting about this
marvelous site!
I had the pleasure of digging in Patagonia in 1996 with Jack Horner and
Jaime Powell, and we visited the marvelous little museum in Plaza Huincul,
home of Argentinosaurus (felt by many to be the largest--i.e.,
longest--sauropod) and of Giganotasaurus (which was not yet there at the
time of our visit). Argentinosaurus was discovered accidentally when road
crews kept hitting these large "rocks" while excavating. Museum personnel
were kind enough to take us to the spot.
We helped Jaime and his crew excavate a nest of dinosaur eggs outside of
Neucuen, and had a lovely "tour" of Patagonia and a portion of the Andes.
Will look forward to updates from this fascinating project.
