This formulation sounds stupid. Every predator kills its
prey. And when the prey is killed it is dead! That makes every predator equally deadly. Probably the insinuation was on "the most efficient predator" - which would mean that the predator in question can kill (or could have killed) and consume the largest number of prey-animals (or mass) in a given time.
