Dinofest rooming II

It's me again. My earlier post regarding shacking up with someone at (and
helping out with the bill) during the dinofest has prompted a few responces
from both across the Atlantic and across the US. One proposal involved renting
an apartment in Philly and cramming as many of us weary travellers as possible
in, which sounds like a good idea if you know Philly. Well I don't so the
question to Philly natives is, is this possible? What areas are considered
safe? Of course proximity to the dinofest is of high priority as well.
Alternately, I suggest we apply the same priciple   toward renting a couple of
adjoining hotel rooms and piling in when I was younger we used to do this for
the purposes of partying and it worked out well as long as no one trashed the
place! So I would need to hear from anyone interested in participating ASAP
with definite dates and commitments before we can even make any reservations.
And since I broached the subject I guess I will _try_ to make the arrangements
but I would still appreciate some help. 

What about those of you out there who already have their quartering
arrangements taking in one ot two of us? It will be cheaper on you as well!
