Paronychodon-related questions

Howdy gang,

I've got a few questions for a little project of mine, feel free to
reply
on-list, I'd love to get some discussion going on a few of these points:

1. Is the genus Paronychodon monospecific, or have other species been
erected within the genus other than the type species, P. lacustris?

2. Are Tripriodon caperatus and Zapsalis abradens junior synonyms of P.
lacustris, or are their specific epithets still justified within Paronychodon?

3. I've heard rumblings that some Paronychodon specimens, including the
type specimen, might be dentary fangs from homalocephalid
pachycephalosaurs. Has there been any published record of this hypothesis,
or is it just a rumor for the moment? I don't know of any homalocephalids
from units that Paronychodon has been found in; I don't even know of any
homalocephalids from North America!

4. Have Paronychodon teeth been found outside of North America? (I already
know about Euronychodon in Europe and Asia)

5. Other than the Vancouver Island find, does anyone know of any
occurrences of Paronychodon teeth in marine sediments?

6. Have baby plesiosaur teeth ever been found? Refs?

7. What theropods are known to have teeth adorned with vertical ridges,
like in Paronychodon? I already know of Currie, Rigby, and Sloan's work
with pathological small theropod teeth with similar ridges, and I've seen
less prominent ridges on illustrations of Ceratosaurus teeth.

8. Other than Paronychodon and Euronychodon, are there any small theropods
known to have teeth without denticles (serrations) on either the anterior
or posterior carinae, or both? (unserrated theropod *premaxillary* teeth,
like in Aublysodon, don't count for this question) Some Ricardoestesia
teeth look like they have either extremely fine or no denticles on the
anterior carina of their teeth, but I'm basing that observation only on
illustrations that I've seen.

9. Does anyone know of any isolated theropod teeth occurring in marine
sediments? I was once told that Tim Tokaryk had a tyrannosaur tooth from
the Bearpaw shale, but I may be confused... I saw the paper about the
semi-articulated hadrosaur but I don't think that's what I'm thinking of.

10. What is the nature of the latest Cretaceous Ferris Formation of the
Western Hanna Basin, Wyoming? I mean, was it marine or continental?

11. What is the nature of the late Cretaceous Calizas de Lychnus Formation
of Quintanilla del Coco, Burgos Province, Spain? Marine or continental?

12. Were the beds that Euronychodon came from in Portugal (in the DIstrict
of Coimbra) marine or continental?

I think that just about sums it up.

Many thanks,

Sam Girouard
