Summer Kids' Digs, workshops



The Big Horn Basin Foundation has scheduled four kids' digs this summer. 
The two-day event for ages 8-13 includes classes and activities on fossil 
identification & dinosaurs, surface fossil collecting, plus a dig with the 
workers on the Warm Springs Ranch dig sites owned by The Wyoming Dinosaur 
Center in Thermopolis. Schedule is: 9 am-4 pm, JUNE 16-17, JULY 7-8, JULY 
28-29, AUGUST 11-12. Cost is $50, including lunch/snacks both days. 
Proceeds go to support the Foundation and its efforts to promote science 
education and expand youth programs and teacher education programs.
The Third Annual Teacher Workshop will be held June 23-25 in Thermopolis, 
Wyoming, and will include guest speaker Stuart Becher of the Hansen 
Planetarium, Salt Lake City.
And don't forget -- October is National Dinosaur Month (and International 
Dinosaur Month). More about a National Kids'  Dinosaur Art & Essay Contest 
soon.
