Re:Permo-Triassic extinction

An update on the notion that there may have been a Permo-Triassic impact
near the Falklands. The source is speculation, published only in abstract
form, by Michael Rampino. He says he has evidence, but hasn't pulled it
together enough yet to write a paper. Rampino likes to investigate such
things, and every so often he may be right. However, I remember the many
false leads for possible sites of the KT impact, so I'd be cautious about
claiming there's any real evidence for a Permo-Triassic impact until it's
much better documented.
